Netflix

Netflix is one of the third-party apps Apple has publicly confirmed will be optimized for iPhone Duo at launch, alongside Zoom and Slack.

We have not been able to hands-on test this ourselves yet, since iPhone Duo pre-orders do not begin until October 16, 2026, with availability starting October 23. This listing reflects what Apple and Netflix have confirmed publicly so far, not our own testing — we will update it with a full review once we have a unit in hand.

What is confirmed

• Netflix is built to fill iPhone Duo's 7.6-inch inner display edge-to-edge rather than running in the letterboxed compatibility mode that unoptimized apps fall back to
• It supports the device's fixed 50/50 Split View, so you can run Netflix alongside another app such as Notes or Messages
• Apple has not published details on whether Netflix supports any second-screen-specific features like a dedicated episode list or synced controls

What we do not know yet

Apple's own materials describe optimized apps in general terms and Netflix has not published its own iPhone Duo feature page as of this writing. Details on picture quality on the outer 5.4-inch display, download behavior, and profile switching in Split View have not been confirmed.
