5 best teleprompter apps for iPhone Duo
Five teleprompter apps compared for iPhone Duo: voice-following scroll, all-in-one recording, external rigs and folding-screen layouts.
A teleprompter app shows your script near the lens so you can look at the camera instead of down at notes. A foldable phone helps here: you can stand the Duo in tabletop posture, and the script can sit close to the camera you are filming with. These are the five teleprompter apps we would consider, and what each is best at. Our deeper guide on using a teleprompter on iPhone Duo covers setup.
1. PromptSlate Studio: best for iPhone Duo, overall
Our app, and the reason this site exists. PromptSlate Studio was designed for the Duo's folding screen from the start. The script, camera preview and recording controls share one workspace that rearranges itself for expanded, tabletop and compact postures. The teleprompter can follow your voice (how we built it), its speed stays steady regardless of the display refresh rate, and you can switch between saved scripts mid-session. Creator Assist drafts and tightens scripts on device with Apple's Foundation Models. It is in final development for iOS 27.1 and will be a $9.99 one-time purchase, with no subscription.

2. PromptSmart Pro: best for voice-following scroll
PromptSmart's VoiceTrack listens as you speak and scrolls at your pace, then pauses when you go off script. It is the best-known voice-follow option, and it is offered by subscription.
3. BIGVU: best for an all-in-one social video tool
BIGVU combines a teleprompter with recording, automatic captions, branding and simple editing, aimed at business and social creators. A free tier exists, and most features need a subscription.
4. Teleprompter Premium+: best for hardware rigs and remotes
If you use a beam-splitter rig or a Bluetooth remote, Teleprompter Premium+ supports mirrored text and external control. It is a long-standing app with flexible formatting options.
5. Captions: best for eye contact and auto captions
Captions is mainly an AI captioning and editing app, but it includes a teleprompter and an eye contact correction feature. Its main features come with a subscription.
The bottom line
If you want voice-follow and a layout built for the fold, start with PromptSlate Studio. PromptSmart Pro is the established voice-follow alternative, BIGVU suits teams that want captions and branding, and Teleprompter Premium+ is for physical rigs.
