PromptSlate Studio Support
For compatible iPhone models · iOS 27.1 or later
At a glance
PromptSlate Studio runs on compatible iPhone models with iOS 27.1 or later. Most issues are solved by checking permissions in iOS Settings, free storage, and Apple Intelligence availability. If not, email hola@ayudantedigital.es.
Camera and microphone access
PromptSlate Studio asks for camera access to show the preview and record video, and for microphone access to record audio. Saving a take to your library asks for permission to add to Photos. Each request appears the first time you use the feature.
If you declined a request, open iOS Settings > PromptSlate Studio and turn on Camera, Microphone or Photos. Recording stays unavailable until both camera and microphone access are granted.
Saving and exporting recordings
- Every take is saved inside its project on your device when you stop recording.
- Use Export to save a take to Photos or to send it through the share sheet to Files or another app.
- If an exported video is missing, check Photos access and the destination you chose in the share sheet.
- Export important takes before deleting the app or erasing the device.
Using the teleprompter
Open a script and start a session. The text scrolls at the speed you choose, and you can adjust speed, text size and mirroring from the session controls. The prompter is positioned close to the camera so your eyes stay near the lens.
Pausing and resuming
Tap the prompter or use the pause control to stop scrolling. Resume continues from the same line, so you can stop recording, reset and pick up where you left off.
Changing scripts during a session
Open the script list from the session controls and choose another script. The prompter loads it from the start; recording settings stay as they were.
Importing text files
Use Import to bring in a plain-text file from Files. The text becomes a new script you can edit, organize into sections and use in the prompter.
Creator Assist
Creator Assist helps you draft, shorten or restructure a script. It runs on your device using the Apple Foundation Models framework, so your script text is not sent to us to generate suggestions.
It is only available when the device supports Apple Intelligence, Apple Intelligence is turned on, the system model has finished downloading, and your language and region are supported. When any of these is missing, the rest of the app keeps working and Creator Assist is shown as unavailable. Always review suggestions before recording. See AI and Automated Features.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a subscription?
- No. PromptSlate Studio is a one-time purchase with no subscription or in-app purchases.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The app does not require an account to write scripts, prompt or record.
- Where are my scripts and recordings stored?
- On your device, inside the app, until you export them.
- Why is Creator Assist not showing?
- It needs Apple Intelligence on a supported device, language and region. See Creator Assist above.
- Can I use it in the iOS Simulator?
- Yes, in demo mode. Recording needs a real device camera.

Quick troubleshooting
- Update to the latest compatible iOS and PromptSlate Studio version.
- Open iOS Settings > PromptSlate Studio and verify the required permission.
- Confirm you have enough free storage.
- Close and reopen PromptSlate Studio, then restart the device if needed.
- For Apple Intelligence, confirm it is turned on and the system model has finished downloading.
- For Speech, verify the supported language, network or system availability if applicable, and microphone access.
- If an exported video is missing, check Photos permission and the destination selected in the share sheet.
Local data and backups
Projects and takes are stored locally. Export important work before deleting the app, erasing the device, installing beta system software, or performing a repair. Support cannot recover content that was never sent to us. Apple backup behaviour depends on your device and iCloud settings.
